BNG2027 announces official launch of bid Ambassador Squad

With less than a month to go before the FIFA Congress vote to select the hosts for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027™, BNG2027 is delighted to announce its official Ambassador Squad.

The squad which includes a set of prominent figures representing past and present Belgium, Dutch and German football will play a leading role in representing BNG2027 in the lead up to the FIFA Congress Vote on 17 May. Their role will see them highlight the vision behind the bid profiling its strengths and merits as efforts continue to seek support around BNG2027.

'Football voice'

The choice of Ambassadors has been well considered and seeks to present an authentic “football voice’ to BNG2027 highlighting the support and backing around the bid from some our nations’ biggest football personalities.

Having been through the successful process of shaping a career starting at the grassroots level right through to the top of the elite game, our ambassadors are uniquely positioned in profiling BNG2027’s Vision in supporting efforts to use to the power of a FIFA World Cup in attracting the next generation of women players and supporting FIFA in aims for the development of the women’s game globally. Their visibility, reach and appeal will be of great value as efforts continue to convince FIFA’s Member Association of the merits of BNG2027.

 

Promise

Commenting on their appointment, the BNG2027 bid Ambassadors stated:

“We are honored to have been invited to join BNG2027 as Ambassadors and act as a voice in profiling the bid. Having enjoyed fulfilling careers playing in and representing our countries at international level we know what a FIFA Women’s World Cup on home soil would mean for our nations. Beyond the national benefits we are excited to be associated with a bid which has placed support around the development of women’s football across the world as a central pillar.

We are convinced that a successful BNG2027 bid will stand up to its promise in Breaking New Ground in supporting FIFA’s ambitious Vision in ensuring the women’s game pursues its route to fulfilling its full potential. In the coming weeks we will be adding our voice to support all efforts around the bid.”
